Movie Talk: I SWEAR
APR 2 → APR 26, 2026

Join Friends of The Ross and guest speaker Janet Schwartz-Micheaux for a post-film discussion following the 1:30pm screening of I SWEAR on Sunday, April 26. Tickets for the screening are at regular Ross prices.

JANET SCHWARTZ-MICHEAUX (she/her) is an AuDHD and disabled licensed psychologist in the state of Nebraska. Starting last August, she began working as the director of the Counseling and School Psychology Clinic (CSPC) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, providing clinical supervision and training opportunities for graduate clinicians and implementing new services for the CSPC, such as neurodiversity support groups and autism evaluations. Janet has a clinical specialty in person-centered care for neurodivergent and disabled youth, using emerging research and lived experience to inform her practice. Inspired by the clients and families in the clinic who share their stories, Janet is committed to using her voice and amplifying the voices of others to promote inclusion, respect, and authenticity for the neurodivergent community. Besides hanging out with her friends and her cats, Janet can be found watching nature documentaries, making paper crafts, eating snacks, writing long lists, and looking for her missing headphones.

Sunday, April 26 – 1:30 p.m.

Kirk Jones’ emotionally engaging, funny and compelling film charts John Davidson’s Tourette’s diagnosis at the age of 14 years old. Set within 1980s Britain, the story follows him throughout his troubled teens and early adulthood, and explores this little known and entirely misunderstood condition, along with his attempts to live a ‘normal’ life against the odds.
